Shark Horror at Israeli Beach as Human Remains Found After Diver Viciously Attacked

A diving trip turned into a nightmare after a father of four vanished in a suspected shark attack off Olga Beach in Hadera, central Israel, with human remains now believed to be his discovered after a desperate two-day search, reported the Mirror.
The 40-year-old man, who has not yet been officially identified, was reported missing on Monday. Moments before he disappeared, beachgoers spotted shark fins circling near the shoreline. A shocking video from the scene captured the panic as people screamed while the sharks closed in.
Despite a swift response involving jet skis and rescue crews, the diver could not be found. The beach was immediately shut down, and police launched a full-scale search operation that continued through the night and into the next day.
This afternoon, firefighters confirmed they had recovered human remains from the water. Though officials are still awaiting full confirmation, they believe the remains belong to the missing diver. The body has been sent to the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute for identification.
A police spokesperson said: “As you can see, we are now on the second day of searching. We are sparing absolutely no resources. The Police Commissioner has instructed us to deploy all available forces to assist with the search effort. Our primary goal is to bring closure to the family.”
Deputy Fire Chief Doron Almashali added, “After a day and a half of intensive effort, we have found what appears to be part of the missing person.” He explained that the search was based on precise mapping of the water currents, and it was in that very zone that the remains were discovered.
Almashali added that the findings must undergo official examination, but the fire service is “sincerely hopeful” they have located the diver attacked by the sharks.
Beachgoers have been urged to stay out of the water while the investigation continues. The local community remains in shock, especially given the chilling eyewitness accounts and footage showing the terrifying moments as the sharks attacked.
The police and fire service say they will continue working tirelessly until full confirmation is received and the diver’s family gets the closure they desperately need.
