Search Underway for 19-Year-Old Following Chemical Attack on Woman in Lancashire

Authorities are on the lookout for a 19-year-old in connection with a distressing incident where a woman in her thirties was targeted with a chemical, believed to be ammonia, in Fleetwood, Lancashire. The attack, which took place on Whinfield Road around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, resulted in the victim being hospitalized.

Fortunately, she was not critically harmed and has been released from the hospital.

The police are treating this as a deliberate and isolated incident, reassuring that there is no ongoing threat to the general public. The focus of the investigation is on locating Mickey Blundell, a 19-year-old whose last known residence was on Radcliffe Road in Fleetwood.

Detective Inspector Kirsty Wyatt emphasized the gravity of the situation, highlighting the fortunate outcome that the victim did not sustain more severe injuries. The authorities are urging anyone with information on Blundell’s whereabouts to come forward, advising the public not to approach him but to contact the police immediately.
