Sarah Ferguson reacts to new bombshell book about Prince Andrew marriage

Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, is reportedly distressed over the forthcoming publication of a revealing book that promises to delve into the intimate details of her marriage to Prince Andrew. The book, authored by renowned royal historian Andrew Lownie, aims to shed light on the complex relationship between the Duke and Duchess of York, who have remained closely connected despite their divorce almost three decades ago.

The Daily Express has reported on the anticipation surrounding Lownie’s work, which is expected to explore the nuances of the couple’s bond over the years. This bond has intrigued the public and royal watchers alike, given that the pair have continued to appear together at public events and have even shared a home at various points since their separation.

“I think that was the wrong decision by them. It would help them shape the narrative if their friends would talk to me,” he told the outlet. “As a result, the people talking to me aren’t necessarily very supportive of them and are much more critical.”

“I’d love to hear from anyone who knew them, who has come across them,” Andrew shared. “The more voices I can have in the book. “It’s not the kind of book that’s going to rely on archives, it’s going to rely on interviews – and they are telling people not to talk to me,” the royal author added.

Lownie has made efforts to include perspectives directly from those involved, reaching out to Ferguson for her personal insights into the narrative. However, the Duchess has not only declined to participate but has also reportedly instructed her close circle of friends and family to refrain from engaging with the author.

Her request suggests a desire to maintain privacy and control over the personal details of her relationship with Prince Andrew. The tension surrounding the book’s release highlights the delicate balance public figures like Sarah Ferguson must navigate in managing personal histories that intersect with the broad public interest.

The refusal to contribute to Lownie’s book could be seen as an attempt by Ferguson to preserve her autonomy over her own story, especially in an environment where public scrutiny is constant and often harsh. This upcoming book adds to the extensive literature on the British Royal Family, which frequently sparks widespread media attention and public discourse.

Books of this nature can have significant implications, not just for the individuals directly involved, but also for the broader public perception of the royal family. Given the controversial nature of Prince Andrew’s recent past, any new revelations could add layers to the public’s understanding of the couple’s dynamics and their individual lives.
