Queen Camilla’s Podcast Soars to the Top, Surpassing Meghan Markle’s Efforts

Queen Camilla has recently launched her new podcast, ‘The Reading Room,’ which has rapidly ascended to the top of the Apple and Spotify charts, outperforming Meghan Markle’s previous podcast efforts. At 76, the British Queen’s debut in the podcasting world has been marked by significant success, particularly in the Arts and Books categories, where it has consistently ranked in the top five globally.

This new venture, which complements her established book club, premiered on January 8 and has been met with widespread acclaim. The podcast features discussions between Queen Camilla and various high-profile guests, with the Queen participating in some episodes.

‘The Reading Room’ has seen particular success in Australia, topping both the Arts and Books sections, and in Canada, where it ranked first in the Books category and fifth in Arts. In the United States, the podcast is currently fifth in Books and 12th in Arts.

Royal fans and commentators have noted the Queen’s podcasting success as a notable achievement compared to Meghan Markle’s ‘Archetypes‘ podcast, which faced challenges in 2022. This development in the royal podcasting scene is seen by some as an opportunity for Queen Camilla to assert her presence in the digital space, potentially overshadowing previous efforts by the Duchess of Sussex.
