Prince William Updates Public on Kate’s Health, Expresses Regret Over Missed D-Day Commemorations

Prince William has offered an update on his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, revealing that she is feeling “better” after having to miss the D-Day commemorations in Portsmouth last week due to an unspecified illness. The Prince made the comments during a visit to the Albert Kennedy Trust, a charity that supports LGBTQ+ youth, on Monday.

As Reported By NZ Herald The Duchess had been scheduled to attend the events marking the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings alongside her husband, Prince William, and other members of the royal family. However, just hours before the commemoration began, Kensington Palace announced that Kate was unable to attend due to a lingering illness. Her absence was especially notable as it marked the first time she had missed such an important event in recent memory.

During his visit to the charity, Prince William spoke about his wife’s health and expressed his regret that she was unable to join him at the commemoration. “She is feeling better, thank you,” he said, adding that he wished she could have been there with him. He also noted that their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – had been disappointed that their mother was unable to attend.

The Duke of Cambridge went on to praise the veterans who took part in the D-Day commemorations, calling their efforts “extraordinary” and honoring the sacrifices they made for their country. He also emphasized the importance of remembering and honoring the sacrifices of those who fought in World War II, saying that it is crucial to ensure that future generations never forget the sacrifices made by those who came before them.

Prince William’s comments come amid ongoing speculation about the Duchess of Cambridge’s health. While Kensington Palace has not provided details about the nature of her illness, some reports have suggested that she may be suffering from severe morning sickness, a condition she has experienced during all three of her pregnancies.

The Duchess has been forced to cancel a number of engagements in recent weeks as a result of her illness, leading to increasing concern among royal watchers about her wellbeing. However, Prince William’s comments on Monday seemed to allay some of those fears, indicating that Kate is on the road to recovery.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have a busy schedule of engagements in the coming months, including a visit to Pakistan in the autumn and a trip to South Africa with their children in the fall. It is unclear how Kate’s illness will impact these upcoming events, but it is likely that the royal couple will proceed with caution to ensure her health and wellbeing are prioritized.

In the meantime, Prince William’s update on his wife’s health has reassured royal fans that she is on the mend and will hopefully be back to her royal duties in no time. The Duke’s visit to the Albert Kennedy Trust was a reminder of the important work that both he and the Duchess continue to do in support of various causes, even in the face of personal challenges.
