William and Kate Ditch Royal Duties for a Special Halloween with Their Kids as King Charles Tours Australia

As King Charles embarks on his Royal tour of Australia, Prince William and Kate Middleton are expected to take a step back from the spotlight, focusing instead on spending quality time with their children. The Prince and Princess of Wales plan to keep a low profile during His Majesty’s tour, opting to spend Halloween with their three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Royal expert and The Times editor, Royal Editor at The Times, Kate Mansey, said on her Royals with Roya and Kate podcast: “It was probably not very diplomatic for William to be doing anything too showy to detract from it.”

While William and Kate prepare for a quieter Halloween celebration, family traditions remain important to them. Kate’s mother, Carole Middleton, has previously expressed her fondness for the holiday and the joy it brings. In a post shared on her Party Pieces website in 2022, Carole wrote: “Halloween is an autumn highlight for me. I can still remember the fun and frights from my own childhood; the chance to dress up, decorate pumpkins, and go trick-or-treating!”
