Prince William Allegedly Holds Long-Standing Grudge Against Prince Andrew Over Treatment of Princess Kate

Prince William has reportedly harbored a grudge against his uncle, Prince Andrew, due to the Duke of York’s allegedly unwelcoming behavior towards Princess Kate, according to a new report.

Royal expert and commentator Richard Kay claims that Andrew’s attitude towards Kate Middleton during her early days in the Royal Family may play a role in his potential eviction from the Royal Lodge. The tension between the uncle and nephew is said to stem from how Andrew treated Kate when she was first introduced to the family, which has reportedly left a lasting impression on William.

In an article for Mail Online, Kay explained that William has “long held a grudge” against Andrew and believes that King Charles has been “too soft” on his younger brother. The commentator suggested that differences remain between the monarch and his heir, particularly regarding the handling of the Prince Andrew scandal.

“William has long held a grudge against Andrew for being unwelcoming when he first introduced the then Kate Middleton to the Royal Family and feels that his father has been too soft on him,” Kay wrote. “It has led to speculation that it is William who is pushing his father to evict the Duke of York from Royal Lodge, so the Waleses could move in.”

The expert further suggested that William’s reaction to Andrew’s behavior could be influencing his approach to his uncle’s current situation. As the heir to the throne, William may be pressuring King Charles to remove Andrew from the Royal Lodge altogether.

“For King Charles, forcing Andrew to move to Frogmore solves several problems at once,” royal writer and commentator Tom Quinn told the Mirror. “It sends a message to Harry that, as a private citizen and no longer a working royal, he will never be allowed back to Frogmore.”

The ongoing tension between William and Andrew, coupled with the broader challenges facing the Royal Family, has fueled speculation about the future of the Duke of York’s residence and his role within the monarchy.
