Expert Says Prince Harry’s Return to Royal Life Unlikely and Unwanted by Both Sides
0Prince Harry’s ongoing battle with his past has become a hot topic of discussion, with insights from a former advisor and royal experts shedding light on his current outlook. The comments were shared during an interview with Fox News Digital by a former advisor to the Duke of Sussex, who offered a candid perspective on where Harry stands in his struggle to reconcile with his history.
“All he does is spend time looking back,” the advisor claimed. “If only he could wrench his neck around and look forward.” Royal editor for The Sunday Times, Roya Nikkhah, also joined the conversation, offering her analysis of the situation. She expressed doubt about Harry’s willingness or ability to move forward.
“I don’t see that happening at all,” Nikkhah said, referring to the possibility of Harry turning his focus to the future. She added, “I don’t think it’s wanted by him, and it’s certainly not wanted by the royal family.” Nikkhah pointed to Harry and Meghan Markle’s departure from royal duties in 2020, highlighting the late Queen Elizabeth II’s decision that the couple could not maintain a “half in, half out” role within the monarchy.
“And the whole point of [the Duke and Duchess of Sussex] leaving was that . . . the late queen agreed you can’t be half in, half out,” Nikkhah said. Reflecting on Harry’s potential desires, Nikkhah speculated, “I don’t think he wants to be back in the UK doing official royal duties. Would he sometimes like to maybe join the family at events? Possibly, but I don’t think there’s any desire on either side for him to come back to do royal duties again.”
These insights come amidst ongoing scrutiny of Harry’s public revelations, including his memoir, Spare, which delves deeply into his personal struggles and grievances with the royal family. Critics argue that his focus on past grievances has strained his relationship with the monarchy, making reconciliation increasingly unlikely.
While Harry has openly shared his desire to create a better future for himself and his family, these recent comments suggest that his journey is far from straightforward. His ongoing reflections on past experiences appear to clash with the expectations and desires of both the royal family and some observers.
As Prince Harry continues to navigate life outside the monarchy, the tension between his personal struggles and his future path remains a central point of public interest and debate. Whether he can eventually shift his gaze forward and find peace with his past is a question only time can answer.
