Prince Harry slammed for expecting King Charles to fix his UK security row

Prince Harry is facing fresh criticism as he continues to battle the Home Office over his taxpayer-funded security during visits to the UK. But royal insiders are reminding him that his father, King Charles, simply can’t step in and fix this one.
Harry’s legal appeal against the Home Office’s decision to cut his official protection is still ongoing. However, it seems he’s hoping his father might be able to pull some strings — something royal experts say just isn’t possible.

Writing in The Sun, Ingrid Seward didn’t hold back: “Harry now wants the already overburdened British taxpayer to pick up the tab for his mistake by financing security for him and his family when they visit the UK.”
She added, “Yet he seems unable, or unwilling, to comprehend that much of the problem is of his own making.”

According to Seward, Harry is once again pointing fingers, this time at his own father, rather than taking responsibility. “It is not the fault of King Charles, his father, who he blames for not stepping in and using his influence. Once again, Harry fails to understand that the King cannot get involved in what is a governmental matter.”

The royal expert made it clear that this kind of decision is out of the King’s hands — no matter how close the relationship may be. “It seems he cannot stand the thought that he could make a mistake and blames everybody else,” she wrote.
The whole situation is fuelling debate among royal watchers and the public alike. Many are questioning whether Harry’s expectations are fair, especially given his decision to step back from royal duties.
As this case continues, one thing’s clear: the UK government, not the monarchy, holds the final say — and Harry might have to come to terms with that, whether he likes it or not.
