Prince Harry Saddened by Archie and Lilibet Missing Royal Easter Traditions Amid Family Rift
0Prince Harry reportedly feels the absence of royal Easter traditions for his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, due to the ongoing family rift. The Duke of Sussex, along with his wife Meghan Markle and their children, spent Easter away from the traditional royal festivities, a deviation that has particularly affected Harry.
Royal author Tom Quinn shared insights with the Mirror about the royal family’s Easter customs, including a service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, followed by a festive lunch and an Easter egg hunt. Harry, who has fond memories of these traditions, is said to be upset that his children are missing out on these experiences and the opportunity to bond with their royal cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
The family’s estrangement has deepened, with Prince William and Kate Middleton also opting out of the customary Easter Sunday church walk. They chose to stay at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, focusing on Kate’s health as she undergoes chemotherapy.
Despite the divide, Tom Quinn suggests there’s a willingness from William and Kate for a reconciliation, encouraging Harry and Meghan to visit the UK with their children. However, Meghan’s reluctance has reportedly stalled these efforts.
Amidst William and Kate’s focus on health and Harry’s disappointment over missed family traditions, there’s still hope for future reunions. Harry has expressed a desire to visit the UK more frequently and possibly bring his family along, especially with the upcoming 10-year anniversary of the Invictus Games in May 2024, which could serve as an occasion for a family gathering.
As the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family navigate these challenging times, the possibility of Archie and Lilibet connecting with their UK-based relatives remains uncertain, with their attendance at upcoming family events still to be confirmed.
