With a Happy ‘Oh’: Prince Harry Returns to the UK with Regal Confidence

Prince Harry made a striking appearance in the UK for the third time this year, attending the prestigious WellChild Awards on Monday. As a special guest of the evening, the Duke of Sussex appeared to embrace his royal roots, exuding confidence and poise throughout the event.

According to body language expert Judi James, Harry seemed delighted to be back in his homeland, showcasing a demeanor that starkly contrasted with his often more reserved and anxious appearance in the US. “With a large ‘Oh’ of happy recognition and anticipation, Harry looks relaxed and delighted on this UK visit,” James told The Mirror. “Arriving using the kind of pace and intentional gestures to suggest keenness and authentic pleasure.”

From the moment Harry entered the room, it was clear that he felt at ease. James observed how he confidently smoothed his tie once—an action that differed from the nervous tie-yanking he displayed during his recent trip to New York. His presence felt genuine, with an air of assurance that wasn’t always visible in his public appearances abroad.

As he interacted with both children and adults at the event, Harry’s enthusiasm was palpable. “The royal role seems to suit him here and he leans into some very animated handshakes, looking eager to engage his hosts in friendly conversation,” James commented. The Duke appeared eager to connect with everyone in the room, showing warmth and approachability in his interactions.

Notably, Harry seemed to slip comfortably back into his royal persona, adopting what James described as “royal body language.” He maintained a bright, eye-catching smile while being photographed, sending a clear message that he was happy to be in his home country once again. “The way he sustains and even re-boots an eye and mouth smile while being photographed shows he is keen to show his happiness here to the world,” James concluded.

Prince Harry’s return to the UK for this special charity event not only marked a significant moment for the WellChild Awards but also demonstrated his enduring connection to his royal heritage, even from across the Atlantic.
