Olivia is best known for her roles in HBO Max series The Nevers and 2010 big screen movie The Ghost Writer.

The role will propel Olivia into the public’s conscience a year after she had a rare pancreatic cancer tumour removed, following a four-year battle to convince doctors that she was potentially seriously ill.

The actress has spoken previously about her love of acting when talking to The Stage.

She said at the time: “I’ve always had the most tremendous energy for work, and that hasn’t changed… My happiest moments from the past year were those times when theatres needed some actors to read through a few plays.

“I did an intense workshop at the Donmar Warehouse in which we read five classic plays in four days, and practically cried with gratitude. I realised how much I love my job. It is my lifeblood.”

Meanwhile, Netflix ‘s bosses have been on the hunt for someone to play Prince Andrew in The Crown ‘s fifth series.

Prince Andrew has been in a storm of headlines over his close relationship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The Duke of York stepped back from his Royal duties amid the scandal.

TV bosses have been hunting for an actor between the age of 30 and 40 to play the role of Prince Andrew.

Spotlight’s website has been flooded with CVs of actors looking for job roles so it’s the ideal place for TV bosses to start looking.

Already the show has landed Elizabeth Debicki to play Princess Diana and Imelda Staunton to star as Queen Elizabeth.
