Emmerdale Star Natalie J Robb Finds Joy Again with Adorable Rescue Puppy After Heartbreaking Loss

Emmerdale actress Natalie J Robb, known for her role as Moira Dingle, has opened her heart to a new furry friend following the devastating loss of her beloved dog, Bronson, earlier this year. Natalie recently revealed she has rescued a six-month-old Spanish Mastin puppy named Buddy, bringing joy back into her life after saying goodbye to Bronson in February after 13-and-a-half cherished years together.

Speaking to Metro, Natalie shared her excitement about her new companion, saying, “I’m already having a lovely time.” She described Buddy as “looking like Bambi” with his tall frame and striking black eyeliner-like markings. “I think, ‘Wow Buddy, how have you done your eyes so perfectly?’ He just looks like a dog on stilts at the moment,” she said, reported by Metro.co.uk.

Buddy arrived from Spain frightened but quickly warmed up to his new home. “He came last night, and he was all frightened, and within two minutes, he was cuddling us,” Natalie said. She also believes her late dog Bronson played a part in bringing Buddy into her life.

Natalie recounted how a dream about a beige dog with black eyes and a black nose seemed to foreshadow her connection to Buddy. After having a necklace made with Bronson’s chest fur, she spotted Buddy just two weeks later. “I saw [Buddy] as a pup and thought, ‘That’s uncanny, that’s weird.’ So I enquired about it, and the next day they called. It was meant to be,” she explained.

Describing Buddy as an early “Christmas present” to herself, Natalie is already planning a festive season filled with adventures. “Me and my mum were talking about going away somewhere nice and taking Buddy. I thought, ‘Do you know what? We’ll just go for lovely walks,’” she shared. She’s focused on helping Buddy settle into his new life, ensuring he feels secure after his long journey from Spain.

The actress also hopes her love for animals can be reflected in her on-screen character, advocating for Moira to have a pet on Emmerdale. “It would be lovely. I have asked for it,” Natalie said, pointing out that a farm without animals like cats or dogs feels incomplete.

For now, Natalie is embracing her new chapter with Buddy, and it’s clear their bond was meant to be. “He loves cuddles,” she said with a smile.
