Brazilian influencer dies in crash, father dies after realizing she’s his daughter
A young Brazilian influencer tragically lost her life in a motorbike accident, and in a heartbreaking twist, her police officer father also passed away after arriving at the scene and realizing the victim was his daughter.
Karla Thaynnara, 25, lost control of her motorbike on the morning of March 3 and crashed into a car before being thrown onto the road. Moments later, a lorry ran over her, according to PEOPLE.
Emergency services were quickly called to the scene, including police officers. Among those responding was Thaynnara’s father, José Carlos Andrade Nogueira, a police officer who had been dispatched to assist.
According to reports, Nogueira realised shortly after arriving that the victim lying on the road was his daughter. He reportedly collapsed and died before other officers could intervene. The devastating double tragedy has left family, friends and followers in shock.
Thaynnara had built a following on social media where she often shared glimpses of her daily life. Many of her posts showed her passion for motorbikes, her time at the gym and moments spent with her father and her seven-year-old daughter.
Outside of social media, Thaynnara worked as a nurse. She also helped sell consignments at a local motorcycle shop, according to NeedToKnow.
Those who knew her say she often spoke openly about the struggles she had faced in life and how determined she was to build a better future for herself and her child.
In August 2025, she shared an emotional Instagram post about achieving a personal milestone after buying a home for herself and her daughter. “It’s more than just four walls and a roof. It’s proof that dreams really do come true when you don’t give up,” Thaynnara wrote.
She had previously spoken about becoming a mother at a very young age. In another post, she reflected on the challenges she faced after her daughter was born.
“I was just 17, holding a four-month-old. I didn’t have much, but I didn’t have determination and a huge drive to build a better life,” Thaynnara wrote. “There were sleepless nights, rough days, and tears no one saw. But there was also strength, resilience, and faith.”
She also credited her parents for helping her push forward during those difficult years and supporting her as she worked to create a stable life for her family. Friends and followers have since shared tributes online, remembering her as a devoted mother who was proud of her progress.
The tragic circumstances surrounding her death have only deepened the shock felt by those who followed her journey. According to her family, both Thaynnara and her father will be laid to rest on Wednesday, March 4.
Authorities say the crash remains under investigation as officials work to determine exactly what led to the accident that claimed the lives of both daughter and father.
