Inside Melania Trump’s extensive designer shoe collection, including her most expensive pairs

Since becoming First Lady, Melania Trump has drawn attention not only for her public role but also for her polished, carefully curated style. Central to that image is an extensive shoe collection spanning some of the world’s most prestigious luxury designers, including Chanel, Roger Vivier, Christian Louboutin, Valentino, and Manolo Blahnik.

While Melania often gravitates toward classic silhouettes, she does not shy away from bold choices. Over the years, she has been photographed in red-and-white zebra print heels, combat boots, and statement pumps.

Most recently, during Donald Trump’s New Year’s Eve celebration at Mar-a-Lago, she opted for silver glitter Louboutin heels paired with a sparkling silver dress, keeping accessories minimal and letting the shoes take centre stage.

According to California-based personal stylist Cynthia Kennedy, Melania’s footwear choices are far from random. “Her collection as a whole says that she sees fashion as a means of control, confidence, and being consistent,”

“She has a love for luxurious, timeless pieces, sophisticated femininity, and classic power looks, whether she’s in stilettos or flats.”

Kennedy emphasised that “nothing is accidental,” adding, “Every aspect of her shoes, handbags, and clothing are a testament to her aesthetic a person who is polished, calculated, and rooted in the idea of classic elegance, rather than being driven by fleeting trends.”

When she is not in heels, Melania frequently turns to ballet flats, particularly her beige-and-black cap-toe Chanel flats, which retail for $1,075. She has worn the iconic lambskin shoes on numerous occasions, including a 2017 visit to hurricane-hit Florida, pairing them with a black jacket, khaki pants, and dark sunglasses.

Melania’s signature heel, however, remains the So Kate pump by Christian Louboutin. With a 120mm heel, the nearly $1,000 shoes add four to five inches of height and have appeared repeatedly during both terms of her husband’s presidency.

“High heels are basically part of her visual language,” Kennedy said. “They show strength, elongation, and control especially when she’s under the spotlight.”

Her collection also includes multiple pairs from Roger Vivier and Manolo Blahnik, ranging from classic pumps to patterned stilettos. Kennedy summed up the approach succinctly: “She values polish but doesn’t need height or drama all the time to feel put together.”
