Expert Suggests Meghan Takes the Lead While Harry ‘Meekly Follows’ in Their Dynamic

Prince Harry appeared upbeat and confident as he attended the Grey Cup match in Vancouver without his wife, Meghan Markle, continuing a series of solo appearances that have drawn attention. Royal expert and biographer Hugo Vickers weighed in on the Duke of Sussex’s demeanor, noting that Harry seems to thrive when he’s alone, away from the influence of his wife.

According to Vickers, Harry often appears “meek” alongside Meghan but comes into his own when focusing on personal passions like sports and charitable work. Speaking to The Sun, Vickers praised Harry’s recent efforts, stating, “We’ve seen Prince Harry make several appearances without Meghan recently.

Of course, it’s what he does terribly well when he’s doing things with football, Invictus Games, and sport.” Vickers added that Harry is better suited for these activities than engaging in what he referred to as “California speak,” which he implied is “dictated” to Harry by Meghan.

“He’s much better at that frankly than when he’s sort of talking what I might call California speak, which seems to have been dictated to him by Meghan,” the expert said. The royal biographer continued to commend Harry’s ability to shine in solo settings. “I must say, every time he appears, I commend him. I’m sure he’s very popular.

It’s a good thing that he does it, whether he’s forging some sort of return to the old Harry,” Vickers remarked. Reflecting on Harry and Meghan’s dynamic, Vickers noted, “When they’re together, she seems to be the one who’s sort of moving the dialogue on. She seems to be the one with the voice, and he seems to be sort of meekly following in her wake. And you know he may not like that so much.”

The Duke of Sussex’s appearance at the Grey Cup aligns with his long-standing passion for sports and charitable endeavors, particularly through initiatives like the Invictus Games. His confident and charismatic presence during these solo engagements has been met with positive feedback, contrasting with the perception of his demeanor when accompanied by Meghan.

As Harry continues to make solo appearances, royal watchers speculate on how his independent pursuits could shape his future and whether they signal a return to the more self-assured “old Harry” that Vickers and others have highlighted.
