Meghan Markle’s Potential Memoir Could “Sell Millions,” but Horrifies King Charles, Claims Royal Expert

Meghan Markle is aware that writing a memoir about her time in the British Royal Family could be a financial windfall, but the idea reportedly fills King Charles with “horror,” according to a royal expert. The Duchess of Sussex knows that such a tell-all book would be a bestseller, claims royal author and commentator Tom Quinn, via Daily Record.

Quinn told The Mirror that the prospect of Meghan penning a memoir, possibly with contributions from Prince Harry, is deeply unsettling for King Charles. “Charles is not in a forgiving mood,” Quinn stated, adding that Harry is also “in no mood to apologize.”

Tensions have remained high since the release of Harry’s memoir Spare in January 2023, in which he revealed he had enough material for a second book. Quinn noted, “For all her efforts to make a success of her new online business, America Riviera Orchard, Meghan knows that a personal memoir of her time in the UK as a working royal would sell millions of copies and make her the sort of money she craves.”

Quinn further explained, “She is also acutely aware that such a book would only boost traffic to her new online business. All this fills King Charles with horror because Harry is bound to be a major contributor to the book. And we know there is a lot more material. After the publication of Spare, Harry himself said he had enough material for two books.”

The possibility of another book adds to the strain between Harry and his family. “If Harry were to say to his father and brother, ‘Look, I’ve gone too far. I’ll stay quiet now and there will be no more embarrassing revelations,’ it might be different. But Harry is in no mood to apologize like his wife, he still believes that all the apologies need to come from his family,” Quinn said.

These remarks come in the wake of Harry’s recent visit to the UK for the 10-year anniversary celebration of the Invictus Games. During this visit, he did not meet with King Charles or Prince William. At the Invictus Games service at St Paul’s Cathedral, Harry shared warm embraces with his late mother Princess Diana’s siblings, Earl Spencer and Lady Jane Fellowes, though no senior royals were present.

Meanwhile, Prince William attended his first garden party of the year at Buckingham Palace, missing an opportunity to cross paths with Harry. A spokesperson for Harry explained, “It, unfortunately, will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program,” but suggested that a future meeting might be possible, stating that Harry “hopes to see him soon.”

Following his brief visit to England, Harry and Meghan traveled to Nigeria to promote the Invictus Games. They engaged with local charities, participated in a fundraiser for Nigerian soldiers injured in conflicts with Islamic extremists, and visited the Lagos State Government House.

This potential memoir and the ongoing tension highlight the complex and strained relationships within the Royal Family as Harry and Meghan continue to forge their own path.
