Meghan Markle is playing with fire, says PR expert Mark Borkowski

Meghan Markle’s $100 million Netflix deal is under intense scrutiny as experts warn of significant risks if the project fails. The Netflix series, which aims to showcase “the joys of cooking, gardening, entertainment, and friendship,” is part of a larger collaboration involving both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Currently, Prince Harry is reportedly working on an episode featuring Polo.

PR expert Mark Borkowski voiced his concerns publicly in an interview with Closer. He remarked, “This is a profound change of direction for Meghan – in some ways to become like a Martha Stewart.” Borkowski believes that if Meghan can successfully pivot to this new role, it could be highly lucrative. “If Meghan can pull it off, it’s a very rich seam to mine,” he stated.

Borkowski emphasized the potential benefits of success: “If it succeeds, then it’s a massive leap forward and will take away from a lot of the negativity she’s had. And it will make a lot of people take her very seriously.” However, he also acknowledged the high stakes involved, noting, “As an income stream, it’s huge… if she gets it right. But it could be make-or-break for the Duchess if the show is yet another failure.”

In his concluding remarks, Borkowski warned of the implications of repeated setbacks: “I don’t believe you can have so many failed ventures without people questioning what you’re going to do next.” As the world watches, the pressure is on for Meghan Markle to deliver a successful Netflix series. The outcome could either solidify her as a serious figure in the entertainment industry or lead to further criticism and doubt about her ventures.
