Meghan Markle breaks King Charles heart with major decision

Meghan Markle has made a decision that has deeply disappointed King Charles, as she has opted not to bring her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the UK in May. This choice is particularly poignant as it coincides with the royal family’s hopes of reuniting during the Invictus Games’ 10th anniversary celebrations, a milestone event founded by Prince Harry.

Royal commentator Charlotte Griffiths has shed light on the situation, indicating that the likelihood of the Duchess of Sussex traveling to London with Prince Harry is slim, and even if she does make the trip, she will not be bringing their children along. This decision comes despite King Charles’ purported invitation to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to spend the summer at Balmoral, an offer that was extended in hopes of mending family ties and fostering a reunion, reports the Mirror.

During an appearance on Talk TV, the expert said “no way” Meghan would visit the Balmoral, adding, “[Meghan] was never really very enamored with the rural royal life and the sort of cold two bar radiators and the boot rooms.” “I mean can you imagine Meghan stalking in the highlands all summer? I can’t really to be honest,” the expert added.

She went on to note that even if “Harry comes, I can’t imagine a world in which Meghan comes over with the kids, it’s really sad.” This comes after a source told Page Six that the cancer-stricken monarch is “desperate” to meet Harry’s kids. It is pertinent to note here that Archie was one year old when Harry and Meghan left the UK for a life in the US and Lilibet wasn’t even born then.

“I can see Charles desperately wanting to see the children, and extending this olive branch to Meghan and Harry,” the source said. “He may decide that life is just too short.” “Balmoral is truly the perfect, restful place for a reunion. If he does issue an invite, then Harry and Meghan should surely agree to the visit.”

The significance of this decision is magnified by King Charles’ expressed desire to meet his granddaughter Lilibet in person for the first time and to reconnect with his grandson Archie, who has not returned to his birth country since the family’s departure in 2020, an event widely referred to as ‘Megxit.’ This separation has undoubtedly left a void, as the royal family has missed significant moments in the young children’s lives due to the physical and public distance between them.
