Meghan Markle and Harry ‘eye up new home in Malibu’ and it’s pricer than LA mansion

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, currently residing in their luxurious Montecito mansion, are rumored to be in the market for a new home in Malibu.

Having acquired their Montecito residence after departing Buckingham Palace in 2020, Meghan has often expressed her deep attachment to the place, calling it her sanctuary of healing. Though their current home is located in a star-studded community, the property they are reportedly interested in is noted for its enhanced privacy.

Recent reports hint that the Duke and Duchess have set their sights on an impressive Malibu estate, which they visited over a recent holiday weekend. TMZ has stated that this potential new home sprawls over 6 acres, boasting features like a guardhouse, an expansive pool, and the groundwork for a massive 10,000-square-foot main residence.

A notable highlight of this Malibu property is its seclusion. While it offers the privacy the royals might crave, it also provides proximity to the beach – a perfect combo.

In terms of pricing, the Malibu estate’s asking rate stands at a reported $8 million. However, with construction and additional expenses, the total investment might soar to an estimated $18 million, surpassing the $14.7 million they shelled out for their LA home.

The strategic location of this Malibu mansion could offer Meghan and Harry the best of both worlds: proximity to their Hollywood engagements while ensuring privacy from intrusive paparazzi lenses.
