A close friend of Meghan Markle was outraged that the queen did not condemn racism in the palace

In their interview with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle touched on the topic of racism, which to this day remains painful.

The Duchess said that the kingdom was interested in the color of the skin of the future first-born Meghan, hinting that the baby will be dark-skinned, and she was very offended. At the same time, neither Harry nor his wife gave the name of the person who raised this unpleasant topic.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex only assured that neither Queen Elizabeth II nor the late Prince Philip had anything to do with it.

After the interview, the monarch commented on what she heard, saying that the family is very sorry that the last years have been so difficult for Harry and Meghan.

“The topic raised, especially racial, is a matter of concern,” the Queen said at the time. “Although some memories may differ, they are taken very seriously, so they will be treated privately by the family.”

The other day it became known that there were not one, but several conversations that concerned the color of Archie’s skin. This was announced by a close friend of Megan — Omid Scobie, who is the co-author of the book “Finding Freedom.”

The journalist said that several people repeatedly raised this topic and discussed it, not sparing the feelings of the future mother. They were obviously worried that the boy would have dark skin.

Omid also noted with indignation that the queen responded very evasively, especially about the “difference of memories”, giving reason to doubt the words of Harry and Meghan. “In doing so, she did not condemn racism in any way,” Scobie says.
