America turning back on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for this reason

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing a decline in their popularity among Americans, with some attributing this shift to a perception of complaining.

Tom Quinn, the author of “Gilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family,” has expressed concerns about Harry’s future in the United States, asserting that Americans prefer success stories and tend to disapprove of complainers.

Recent opinion polls seem to corroborate this observation, indicating a decline in the couple’s favorability in the United States.

A July poll conducted by Sky News revealed that Harry’s approval rating had dropped from 52 percent in the last quarter of 2022 to 46 percent in the first quarter of 2023.

Furthermore, approximately 26 percent of Americans expressed disapproval of him, resulting in a net approval rating of 20—a figure eight points higher than Meghan’s during the same period.

Quinn emphasized the American preference for success stories and their aversion to complainers, noting that there’s a question of what Harry can contribute positively to his royal role when the complaints have to cease.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have encountered several challenges in recent months, including Spotify dropping their Archetypes podcast and being overlooked at the Emmys for their Netflix docuseries, “Harry & Meghan.”

During this time, they also faced scrutiny from comedians, and Prince Harry became embroiled in a controversy over his drug and alcohol disclosures on his US visa forms.

The diminishing popularity of the couple has raised concerns about their two young children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Since their relocation to the United States in 2020, the children have not returned to Britain.

Quinn expressed apprehension that Archie and Lilibet might encounter teasing or bullying at school due to their royal status, as people may perceive them differently.

While concerns about their public image persist, Meghan Markle was recently spotted attending Beyonce’s 42nd birthday concert, where she mingled with celebrities such as Katy Perry, Lizzo, Chris Rock, and Adele.

She was seen keeping close company with Tyler Perry, who serves as Lilibet’s billionaire godfather, and they posed for pictures at the VIP Champagne bar at the SoFi Stadium.
