Mattel Appoints Industry Veteran Mara Verzé to Lead UK Consumer Products

Mattel, the toy and family entertainment powerhouse behind beloved brands such as Barbie, Monster High, and Hot Wheels, has announced the appointment of Mara Verzé as the new head of UK consumer products. Verzé will be tasked with leading Mattel’s UK consumer products team and driving growth in licensing for the company in this key market.

In a statement, Mattel expressed excitement about Verzé’s role, emphasizing that she will “accelerate licensing in the market” and help boost the company’s footprint in the UK.

Verzé brings an impressive resume to Mattel, having previously worked with Authentic Brands Group, where she oversaw iconic brands like Nautica, Nine West, Aeropostale, Vince Camuto, Forever 21, and Izod across the EMEA and India regions. She excelled in managing licensing relationships to enhance business performance and retail profitability. Prior to that, she worked with IMG Licensing, where she was responsible for international licensees across a range of product categories including apparel, footwear, luggage, toys, and more, spanning Europe, Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East.

Ruth Henriquez, Mattel’s Senior Director of Licensing, Publishing, and LBE EMEA, welcomed Verzé to the team, stating: “We are delighted to welcome Mara to the Mattel EMEA team. Her extensive experience and proven track record in managing diverse brand portfolios and driving retail profitability make her an invaluable addition.”
