Claridge’s Hotel in London Debuts a Unique Louis Vuitton-Designed Christmas Tree for 2023

The renowned five-star hotel Claridge’s in London has revealed its 2023 Christmas tree, a unique design crafted by the illustrious French fashion house Louis Vuitton. This year’s design follows the creative legacies of previous designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Christopher Bailey, Alber Elbaz, and Diane von Furstenberg.

Positioned prominently in the hotel lobby, the tree stands as a striking art piece, emerging from two large, open Louis Vuitton trunks stacked to a remarkable height of 5.2 meters.

This imaginative design draws inspiration from the theme of travel, a nod to the fashion house’s heritage. Each trunk is embellished with vintage Claridge’s travel stickers and an oversized Louis Vuitton luggage tag, adding to the tree’s allure.

The structure of the tree is formed by 15 chrome trunks, repurposed and arranged vertically at varying heights, coming together to mimic the shape of a traditional Christmas tree. This design choice not only complements the Art Deco style of Claridge’s but also reflects the luxury brand’s emphasis on travel and exploration.

Adding a touch of whimsy, 21 Louis Vuitton mascots, including Father Christmas, are interspersed among the silver trunks and snowy decorations, bringing a festive charm to the display.

Paul Jackson, the General Manager of Claridge’s, expressed his excitement about the installation: “Christmas is the most magical time for us here at the hotel and we look forward to welcoming guests and seeing visitors immerse themselves in Louis Vuitton’s world.”
