“They’re Going to Get Wet!” Prince Louis Steals the Show at Trooping the Colour
0Prince Louis was brimming with confidence and playfulness at this year’s Trooping the Colour, with his lively antics capturing the crowd’s attention. The six-year-old prince was seen dancing, playing with curtain cords, and even pretending to fall asleep during the festivities, held on Saturday, June 15.
Despite the excitement, the weather was less than cooperative. Torrential rain and blustery winds swept through the capital, soaking the crowds and filling the Mall outside Buckingham Palace with a sea of umbrellas. Amidst the chaos, a sweet moment between Prince Louis and his older sister, Princess Charlotte, was revealed by a lip reader, suggesting that the young prince is maturing quickly.
Louis, noticing several people without umbrellas in the heavy downpours, expressed his concern to Charlotte, saying, “They’re going to get wet!” Earlier, Charlotte had been seen guiding her younger brother, telling him to concentrate on the parade. “You have to stop doing that. Watch the parade,” she instructed. Louis shrugged his shoulders and replied, “I won’t,” to which Charlotte retorted, “Do as you’re told.” Louis cheekily responded with a simple, “Nope!”, told Daily Record.
Throughout the event, Prince Louis continued to display his spirited personality. He let out a big yawn and played with a window blind cord while watching the military parade. Body language expert Adrianne Carter commented on his behavior, highlighting his “lovely” and “bright” personality. “This is a sign that Louis is still the lovely and bright personality that we’ve come to recognize. Louis’ big yawn was unspotted by Kate so he was able to give it his all!”
As the ceremony progressed, Louis seemed to enjoy himself even more, eventually breaking into a dance. Adrianne noted, “He looks like he’s enjoying himself a bit more! Hands behind his back is something he’s obviously been told to do, maybe to help him stop fidgeting. It looks like Charlotte spotted his little dance and told him to calm it down maybe.”
This year’s Trooping the Colour also marked the first public appearance of the Princess of Wales in months. Kate Middleton had stepped back from the spotlight in January after sharing her cancer diagnosis. Amid ongoing treatment, she felt well enough to join the rest of the royal family for the annual military event, much to the delight of fans worldwide.
Prince Louis’ playful antics and moments of concern for others made him the star of the show, demonstrating his growing awareness and charm. The young royal’s behavior provided a heartwarming glimpse into his developing personality, endearing him even more to the public.
