Lorraine Kelly Only Hosted 59 Percent of Her Show in 2024 and Now She’s Being Replaced Again

Lorraine Kelly, who has been the face of her self-titled ITV morning program for over a decade, started 2025 just as she ended 2024 – being replaced by stand-in host Ranvir Singh. While Lorraine did appear in a pre-recorded special on December 31, the last time she hosted live was on December 12.

Ranvir, who frequently steps in for Lorraine along with Christine Lampard, had the opportunity to interview radio presenter Adele Roberts about her new Marathon challenge and Vera actor Riley Jones about the show’s finale during her guest-hosting slot, reported by the Daily Mail.

Last year, Lorraine’s hosting duties saw a significant reduction, with the 65-year-old only appearing in 154 of the 258 episodes of her programme, which accounts for just 59.7 percent of the shows. In fact, Lorraine’s absence has become a regular occurrence, with her show often being taken over by either Christine or Ranvir.

The Scottish TV presenter has hosted her show since 2010, but in recent years, her live appearances have decreased, prompting the creation of a social media account called ‘Where is Lorraine?’ The account tracks who is hosting the show each day, and it also shares ‘Bonus Lorraine’ updates when she appears on other programmes while not hosting her own.

The ‘Lorraine Wrapped’ graphic shared by the account revealed that in 2024, Lorraine only hosted eight consecutive episodes, from January 2 to January 11, before a replacement took over. Christine Lampard, 45, was the most frequent stand-in, hosting 52 episodes, while Ranvir Singh took over 49 times.

In fact, fans have been expressing their disappointment at Lorraine’s ongoing absence, with many remarking on social media, “Off to a strong start Lorraine, starting the year as we mean to go on?” Another fan commented, “Go on Ranvir, getting that early gig in.” One fan even joked, “Gosh, Lorraine has hosted 0% of her show so far this year.”

While Lorraine’s salary of £568,000 a year remains a significant perk of her role, her increasing absences have raised questions about the future of her presence on the morning show.
