King Charles and Prince William okay with Harry ‘not wanting to be Prince’

King Charles and Prince William appear to be at peace with Prince Harry’s decision to pursue an independent path, separated from the traditional royal duties. This sentiment comes as both His Majesty and the Prince of Wales are preparing to resume their official public responsibilities following a brief pause in the King’s schedule due to a health issue related to cancer.

As the royal family moves forward, it is clear that the presence of Prince Harry is not deemed essential for the continuation and success of their royal engagements. This development marks a significant shift in the royal dynamics, particularly since Prince Harry was once deeply integrated into the fabric of the family’s public life.

Royal expert Tom Quinn told The Mirror: “Prince William and King Charles see the Royal Family as far too important to be jeopardized by a prince who doesn’t want to be a prince. “And besides, the Royal Family can do without Harry. It’s even been whispered at Kensington Palace and Clarence House that Harry has done the Royal Family a favor.

“A difficult, temperamental, unstable prince is now America’s problem.” This comes as Prince Harry is scheduled to come to the UK for the Invictus Games. Quinn said: “Harry is scheduled to speak at St Paul’s Cathedral in London on May 8 to mark the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games.

Prince Harry, who founded the Invictus Games during his tenure as a working royal, has carved out a new role for himself that aligns with his personal values and aspirations. The Invictus Games, an international sporting event for wounded, injured, and sick servicemen and women, both serving and veterans, reflects his ongoing commitment to support these communities.

Despite his step back from royal duties, there is no indication from the family that he should relinquish his involvement with the Games. The initiative is recognized as his creation and continues to be a positive force in the lives of many. The lack of pressure for Harry to disengage from the Invictus Games signifies a broader understanding within the royal family of his continued impact outside of the traditional royal framework.

It also indicates a form of tacit approval of his independent initiatives, suggesting that while his royal ties may have loosened, his contributions to causes he cares about are still valued. King Charles and Prince William’s focus is now firmly on their royal duties and the future of the monarchy.

This future involves adapting to modern challenges and shifting public expectations without the direct involvement of Prince Harry. Their readiness to move forward without him highlights a pragmatic approach to their roles as representatives of the British crown. This approach allows them to concentrate on their responsibilities while acknowledging the separate path that Harry has chosen.
