King Charles keeps the ‘spark’ alive with Queen Camilla: Here’s how

As King Charles and Queen Camilla mark their 20th wedding anniversary with a celebratory trip to Italy, a body language expert is shedding light on the couple’s enduring and spirited connection — one that still sparks mischief and passion, even two decades into their marriage.
According to body language specialist Judi James, beneath the formalities and public displays of support, there’s a “subliminal messaging” between the King and Queen that hints at a more playful, even flirtatious, dynamic.
Speaking to Fabulous, James explained: “Beneath all those signals of loving support and dedication, though, the subliminal messaging is still one of spice, hinting at a relationship that can still be sexy, naughty, passionate, and even fiery when it comes to hints of temper.”
She observed that when the royal couple lock eyes, their expressions often reveal a layer of intimacy and mischief not immediately obvious to the casual onlooker. “When Camilla and Charles lock eyes, their expressions will often change to something that can only be described as ‘naughty’,” she said.

“It’s a shared look of mischief that suggests a matching capacity for being playful and even badly behaved,” James added, suggesting the royal couple’s chemistry is alive and well. King Charles and Queen Camilla were married on April 9, 2005, in a civil ceremony followed by a religious blessing.
Their union, once the subject of intense media scrutiny and public debate, has grown into a stable and affectionate partnership that now represents a central force within the modern monarchy. Their anniversary celebrations come at a significant time for the King, who is also managing ongoing health challenges while maintaining royal duties.
The couple’s public appearances in Italy have been marked by warm gestures and visible affection — something James interprets as genuine rather than rehearsed. While many royal watchers have commented on the quiet strength of their relationship, the latest analysis suggests their bond includes moments of private humor and light-hearted rebellion, even in the face of royal protocol.
Camilla, now firmly established in her role as Queen Consort, has also shown increasing confidence and poise at public events, often seen sharing quiet jokes with the King — moments that, according to James, reveal the playful undercurrent of their decades-long romance. As the royal couple continues their anniversary trip, their subtle yet spirited interactions offer a refreshing reminder that even in the most traditional institutions, a little mischief and flirtation can still flourish.
