Kim Kardashian Just Made A Heartbreaking Announcement About Her Broken Marriage–We Feel So Bad For Her!

After filing for divorce from Kanye West in February, Kim Kardashian has finally opened up about the reality of their last year of marriage together, and what ultimately pushed her towards the decision. Citing irreconcilable differences in the divorce filing, West and Kardashian had been living apart for months during quarantine, with the rapper moving to a ranch in Wyoming to make music.

Now, Kardashian revealed that the distance made her “lonely” after the pair’s seven years together, and she’s working to focus on her happiness instead.

The final season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians provided ample drama for a sendoff, and in the last episode, Kim opened up about the disappointment she faced in not being able to make things work with her rapper beau.

“I never thought I was lonely,” she said. “I always thought that’s totally fine, I could just have my kids, my husband moves from state to state… And I just am on this ride with him, and I was okay with that and then [after my 40th birthday], I realized like, ‘No, I don’t want a husband that lives in a completely different state to me.’”

The mother-of-four also noted that she and West were often on the best terms when they were in different states. “I thought, ‘Oh my God, that’s when we’re getting along the best,’ but then that is sad to me, and that’s not what I want” she said. In another episode, Kardashian finally broke down, saying, “I feel like a (expletive) failure, that it’s a third (expletive) marriage. Yeah, I feel like a (expletive) loser, but I can’t even think about that. I want to be happy.”

However, the SKIMS founder is now doing the work to improve her mental health in order to find joy outside of her relationships. “I’m going to a therapist,” Kim told her mother, Kris Jenner. “Let me work on myself and see where I’m at — and that’s what I’m so excited for, just like, waking up at 40 and realizing like, I just want total happiness. I know obviously complete bliss is like, not a full reality, but if I can have it more of the majority of the time, that’s all I want to do, wherever that takes me.”
