Katie Price Reveals Why Her Youngest Kids Stay Out of the Spotlight
0Katie Price has opened up about her decision to keep her two youngest children, Bunny and Jett, out of the spotlight and off social media. The 46-year-old star, who shares five kids with her former partners, discussed her evolving approach to fame and parenting during an appearance on James Phelan’s How To Be Famous podcast, reported by the Sun.
Speaking about her eldest children—Harvey, 22 (whose father is former footballer Dwight Yorke), and Princess, 17, and Junior, 18 (shared with ex-husband Peter Andre)—Katie noted that they were raised during a different media era. “They’re very good with the media,” she said, referring to their comfort with being in the public eye.
However, when it comes to her younger children, Bunny, 10, and Jett, 11, whom she shares with third ex-husband Kieran Hayler, Katie’s stance has shifted. “But I don’t even do pictures with [Jett and Bunny],” she revealed, explaining how times have changed.
When podcast host James Phelan asked if her younger children simply weren’t interested in fame, Katie responded, “I think it’s different now.” She elaborated, “When Junior and Princess were growing up, it was all newspaper and magazines and there wasn’t social media. So they’ve grown up with it that way, whereas Jett and Bunny are in the social media world, and it can be a nasty world with all the trolling, so it’s different.”
The former Celebrity Big Brother winner emphasized her desire to protect her children’s identities as they grow older. “I don’t even put pictures of them up anymore because they’re going to big school and I want them to have their identity. It’s just all different.”
This approach contrasts sharply with her earlier openness, as Junior and Princess often appeared on TV shows and in magazines during their younger years. Katie admitted she’d be open to reality TV again, saying, “I would do it again yes, as I think it’d be more interesting now than it ever was.”
Katie’s comments come after a previous clash with ex-husband Kieran Hayler last year regarding their daughter Bunny’s use of social media. Kieran criticized Katie in November, questioning her parenting: “Where is the parental protection and safeguarding?” The controversy escalated when Bunny was reportedly banned from TikTok for being underage, as the platform enforces a strict 13-plus age rule.
For now, Katie seems firm in her choice to shield Bunny and Jett from the harsher realities of online life, prioritizing their privacy and identity as they grow up.
