Katie Price Reveals Truth Behind Mystery Twin Babies and Opens Up About IVF Struggles
Katie Price has finally opened up about the mystery surrounding her “twin babies” and revealed the truth behind the internet-shattering photo she shared in October. The former glamour model caused a stir when she posted a picture of two tiny babies on her social media, captioned, “Finally my twins have arrived.”
The post left fans puzzled, with many speculating about the babies’ authenticity. It was later reported that the babies were actually reborn dolls, which can cost four figures or more. At the time, a source told OK! magazine that Katie’s decision to become a “mum” to these dolls stemmed from the trauma she’s experienced in her life.
“She’s been through a lot of trauma in her life and she’s been at her happiest when she’s had her babies,” the source explained. “It’s her happy place and safe place, but the beauty of them not being real is she can just get on with her life as normal and they don’t keep her up all night.”
Now, in a candid interview with Closer Magazine, Katie has confirmed that her twin babies are, indeed, dolls. The mum of five shared that she had just completed an IVF program and discussed how she feels about expanding her family. “I’ve just done an IVF program,” Katie revealed.
She went on to clarify the mystery of the dolls: “I’ve got my twin dolls, which I’m not going into detail about. I did IVF, and that program will be out next year. I won’t be watching, as I don’t want to be reminded of the past. The experience was horrific, and if I look back, I wasn’t in the right relationship. I think things happen for a reason if I’m honest.”
Katie has been open in the past about her struggles with miscarriage. In her latest autobiography, she addressed the painful experience of miscarriage during her marriage to Peter Andre and again while in a relationship with Carl Woods. She wrote: “But having failed IVF and then having IVF only to miscarry is very horrific.”
In the interview, Katie was also asked about her future plans for marriage. Currently dating former Married At First Sight UK star JJ Slater, she said, “I’d love to get married again! JJ’s very old-fashioned, so he hasn’t even put a ring on my finger yet. So, until that happens, you’ll have to ask him if he wants to marry me!”
