Katie Price Sparks Backlash Again Over Controversial Cat Video

Katie Price has once again stirred controversy among her animal-loving followers after sharing a video of her new Sphynx kitten, Tony, clawing at a large flatscreen TV. The 46-year-old mother-of-five, who has faced criticism for her care of animals in the past, shared the clip while watching I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

The video showed the kitten jumping and scratching at the TV, prompting concerns from fans that the screen could have toppled over and harmed the pet. This incident comes amid ongoing scrutiny of Katie’s track record with animals, which includes the deaths of multiple pets, from dogs to horses, as well as several cats.

Animal rights advocates, including People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), have previously called for Katie to be banned from owning animals. Ingrid Newkirk, PETA’s founder, has harshly criticized Katie, stating: “This woman doesn’t care about the lives she wastes or listen to vital advice and is still treating live animals like stuffed toys: as disposable.” She went on to call Katie a “serial animal killer” due to her poor track record, which includes the deaths of five dogs, a horse, and a chameleon named Marvin over the past six years, reported by the Mirror.

Katie’s latest video follows her recent revelation that one of her cats disappeared and never returned. During an online Q&A, she explained: “Craig, Hagrid at my old house, he was like eight or nine. He just disappeared, didn’t come home one night. It’s really sad. They say cats wander off, don’t they, when they want to pop off.”

Despite her controversial history, Katie introduced her two new Sphynx kittens to fans in a video, seemingly anticipating backlash. She affectionately spoke to her pets, saying, “What are you all doing? Are you playing? Are you perming? They look so cute.” She also joked with someone off-camera about the kittens climbing on her.

Fans and critics alike have expressed concern over Katie’s care of her pets, with many pointing to her past failures as evidence of negligence. Petitions have circulated online demanding that she be barred from owning animals, highlighting a growing call for stricter oversight of her treatment of pets. As her controversial animal ownership continues, the debate surrounding Katie Price and her pets shows no signs of slowing down.
