Princess Kate won’t forgive Prince William for bizarre birthday gift

Kate Middleton, celebrating her 42nd birthday, once received an unusual gift from her husband Prince William, a memory that has amusingly lingered in their relationship. During their early days of dating, William gave Kate a gift that he humorously claims was a pivotal moment in winning her over.

In a 2020 appearance on BBC’s “That Peter Crouch Podcast,” William shared this light-hearted anecdote about their courtship. He revealed that he once gave Princess Kate a pair of binoculars, a choice that has since become a fond joke between them. “She’s never let me forget that,” William admitted, recalling how he tried to impress Kate with the binoculars’ features, only to receive a baffled reaction from her.

The future King reflected on the moment with humor: “I was like, ‘These are really amazing! Look how far you can see!’ and she was like, ‘They’re binoculars. What’s going on?’ It didn’t go well.”

William, laughing at his own gift-giving faux pas, said, “Honestly, I have no idea why I bought her a pair of binoculars.”

As the Princess of Wales turns 42, William is reportedly set to shower her with gifts, a change from the early days of quirky presents. This celebration comes amid a challenging period marked by the release of Omid Scobie’s controversial book “Endgame.
