Princess Kate moved to ‘tears’ due to Prince Harry

Kate Middleton, now the Princess of Wales, was visibly moved to tears by Prince Harry’s touching speech during her wedding to Prince William, despite the current strained relationship between the brothers and their spouses.

The royal wedding, held on April 19, 2011, was a grand affair watched by millions worldwide, necessitating a composed front from the royal family throughout the ceremony. However, the atmosphere relaxed during the after-party, allowing for more personal and heartfelt expressions.

In her book ‘Harry: Life, Loss, and Love,’ author Katie Nicholl recounts Harry’s speech, describing it as warm, loving, and humorously delivered. Harry’s playful remark about William’s lack of romance before meeting Kate deeply touched her, bringing her to tears. The speech highlighted Harry’s well-known sense of humor and his close bond with his brother at the time.

Yet, in a twist of events, Prince Harry, in his memoir, made stark claims about the royal wedding arrangements. He asserted that despite public announcements stating he was the best man, it was, in fact, a ‘bare-faced lie.’ He suggested that public expectations forced the Palace to misrepresent his role in the wedding.

As reported by the Daily Express, Prince William chose James Meade and Thomas Van Straubenzee as his best men, contradicting the widely held belief that Prince Harry had been given this honor. This revelation adds a layer of complexity to the current dynamic within the Royal Family, particularly between the brothers.
