Kate Cassidy Reveals Chilling Last Words Liam Payne Said Before His Death

Kate Cassidy has opened up in a deeply emotional way about the loss of her boyfriend, Liam Payne, six months after the tragic accident that took his life. The 31-year-old singer, best known from One Direction, died on October 16, 2024, after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.
Since that devastating day, Kate has been mourning publicly and privately, regularly posting tributes to Liam on social media. The couple had been together for two years and were even planning to get married, making his sudden death even harder to process.
Earlier today, Kate posted an unseen video clip of the two sitting together on a park bench, sharing what looked like a quiet, tender moment. Alongside the footage, she wrote: “To my Liam, until we meet again in the next life.” The heartfelt post quickly drew support from fans across the world, many of whom have followed her grief journey closely.
In a recent appearance on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, Kate shared more personal details about what would be their last goodbye. She recalled the final time she saw Liam in Argentina before heading to the airport, and the moment has stayed with her ever since.

“I remember sitting there with him and I was going on and on and on about how much I love him,” Kate said. “And he laughed and interrupted me, was like: ‘Kate, you’re gonna miss your flight, your car is in the driveway.’”
She added that Liam had jokingly said, “You’re acting like this is the last time you are ever gonna see me again.” That moment, light-hearted at the time, has taken on a haunting meaning since his passing.
Despite the unbearable grief, Kate says she feels lucky to have had that kind of farewell, one that was full of love, even if they didn’t know it was goodbye.
Liam’s fans have continued to express their support for Kate online, many praising her strength and the way she’s honoured his memory. Though it’s clear she’s still hurting, her tributes and openness have helped others feel closer to the late singer too.
It’s a loss that still doesn’t feel real for many, and Kate’s words only drive home just how fragile and precious those final moments can be.
