Jelly Roll says he powered through the 2026 Grammys with a broken collarbone

Country star Jelly Roll has revealed that he suffered a serious injury just days before attending the 2026 Grammy Awards, choosing to keep the incident private until now.

The “Save Me” singer shared the story with fans in a recent Instagram video, explaining that he broke his collarbone earlier this year after flipping an ATV during an accident. In the video, the 41-year-old showed the vehicle involved in the crash along with an X-ray image of his injury and clips from the Grammy Awards ceremony that followed shortly afterwards.

According to Jelly Roll, the accident left him shaken and unsure whether he would feel comfortable riding the ATV again. The crash caused significant pain and initially made him hesitant to get back in the vehicle.

However, he said he eventually decided that waiting too long might only make the fear worse. After the ATV was repaired, the singer pushed himself to ride it again, determined not to let the accident affect his confidence.

The timing of the incident made the situation even more difficult. The crash happened just days before the 2026 Grammy Awards, an event where Jelly Roll was expected to appear. Despite the injury, he still attended the ceremony alongside his wife, Bunnie Xo.

While fans watching the event likely saw him smiling and celebrating, the singer said the experience was far more painful than it appeared. According to Jelly Roll, the injured shoulder made simple interactions at the ceremony difficult.

He explained that throughout the night, people approached him to congratulate him, greet him, and hug him. Although those moments were meant to be joyful, each embrace caused significant pain because of the broken collarbone.

Looking back on the night, Jelly Roll admitted that the discomfort became overwhelming at times. He said the pressure from people hugging him made him feel like he might cry, but he chose not to reveal the injury publicly during the event.

Instead, he kept the situation private and focused on enjoying the moment as much as he could. For many artists, attending the Grammy Awards is one of the biggest milestones in their careers, and Jelly Roll said he did not want the accident to overshadow the occasion.

Now that he has recovered, the singer says the experience served as a reminder of how quickly unexpected accidents can happen.

Even during major career moments or celebrations, he said, life can change in an instant. Despite the painful setback, Jelly Roll has since returned to normal activities and continues sharing updates with fans about both his music and personal life.
