However, he didn’t stay long. To the surprise of many, Prince Harry then jetted off solo to Africa, focusing on promoting his charity, Sentebale. Throughout these engagements, Harry has been notably alone, and it’s been reported that he hasn’t seen his wife, Meghan Markle, for weeks.

Meanwhile, Meghan remains at their home in Montecito, California, caring for their two children—Archie, five, and Lilibet, three. With Harry’s extended time away, fans and royal watchers are left questioning the reasons behind his long absence from his Californian home.

According to one royal commentator, there’s a simple explanation for Harry’s busy three-week itinerary. Jennie Bond shared her thoughts with The Mirror, saying, “Maybe it’s better for his kids as well, for him to disappear for a fortnight and then be at home – rather than lots of comings and goings.” She added that Harry is focusing on what he does best and that his absence may be planned with his children’s best interests in mind.

Bond explained, “Harry is box office. He’s always had a way with people and crowds, and it’s lovely to see him coming into his own with charities and causes that he became involved with many years ago. Married couples don’t have to do everything together.”

She continued, “The children are young, and it’s much better for them to have one parent at home, so it all makes perfect sense. It’s just Harry doing what Harry does best.”

Rumors have recently surfaced suggesting that Harry and Meghan are leading increasingly separate professional lives. Reports even claimed that Harry celebrated his 40th birthday away from his wife, spending time with friends instead. However, the Duke of Sussex has dispelled any speculation of a rift.
