Debate Over Prince Harry’s US Visa Involving Donald Trump Takes New Turn

Donald Trump has provocatively suggested that Prince Harry could face deportation should Trump secure the presidency of the United States once more. This remark adds another layer to Trump’s ongoing commentary on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry, and Meghan Markle, particularly focusing on their decision to step back from their roles as senior members of the British royal family.

Speaking for a GB News programme Mr Trump said: “We’ll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied they’ll have to take appropriate action.” When enquired if Harry would not remain in the US, Trump responded: “Oh I don’t know. You’ll have to tell me. You just have to tell me.”

In the light of this situation, Harry who is planning for a UK visit in May has been warned against “risking the ire of Donald Trump. Harry, in his book ‘Spare,’ exclusively admitted to having a drug addiction back in the day. He said in 2023: “He betrayed the Queen. That’s unforgivable,” he said. “He would be on his own if it was down to me.” Speaking of Meghan, he added: “I didn’t like the way she dealt with the Queen. They treated her with great disrespect and I didn’t like it.”

Trump’s statement emerged amidst his reflections on what he perceives as Harry and Meghan’s profound disloyalty towards Queen Elizabeth II. The couple’s choice to relinquish their royal duties and relocate to North America has been a subject of global media attention and widespread speculation, reported The Mirror.

This move, often referred to as ‘Megxit’ by the press, marked a significant departure from royal protocol and tradition, sparking debates on the future of the monarchy and the intense scrutiny faced by royal family members. Trump’s latest comments further entangle the political sphere with the personal lives of the royal couple, suggesting potential legal ramifications for Prince Harry based on the couple’s decisions and their standing within the royal family.

The idea of deporting a member of the British royal family, especially under such circumstances, is unprecedented and highlights the often contentious relationship between Trump and the Sussexes. The former President’s remarks are in line with his previous criticisms of Harry and Meghan.

Trump has not shied away from expressing his views on the couple’s actions, particularly their public statements and decisions that diverge from traditional royal expectations. His latest assertion about the possibility of deportation raises questions about the intersection of political power, immigration law, and personal vendettas in the realm of international relations.

Trump’s stance also reflects broader conversations about the role of the monarchy in contemporary society and the challenges faced by those within it, especially when they choose to step back from their royal duties. Harry and Meghan’s departure from the UK and their subsequent endeavors, including their ventures into media and advocacy, have been met with mixed reactions from the public and the press, making them figures of both admiration and controversy.

This development in Trump’s commentary on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex adds another dimension to the ongoing discourse surrounding the couple’s relationship with the royal family, their life in the United States, and how they navigate their public and private lives under intense scrutiny.

As political figures weigh in on these personal decisions, the conversation transcends the boundaries of celebrity and royalty, touching on issues of immigration, nationality, and the far-reaching influence of political statements in an increasingly interconnected world.
