GB News’ Isabel Webster Faces Backlash in Nigel Farage Clash as Fans Fume Over ‘Annoying’ On-Air Habit

On Wednesday’s breakfast show on GB News, presenters Isabel Webster and Eamonn Holmes welcomed Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, who appeared to defend his party against recent criticism from Conservative MPs. However, the segment quickly sparked outrage from viewers, who took to social media to express their frustration with the interview, particularly focusing on Isabel’s frequent interruptions.

Farage’s appearance came in response to remarks from Conservative MP Robert Jenrick, who labeled Reform UK as a “redundant” party. The former UKIP leader also took aim at Tory leadership hopeful James Cleverly, who vowed during the Conservative Party conference to crush Reform UK, told Daily Express.

As Farage made his case, many viewers felt that Isabel’s interruptions were preventing him from fully expressing his points, leading to a flurry of comments on social media. One frustrated viewer, @JeanetteHinton, raged, “When will Isabel shut up and let people speak? She is so annoying and obviously in the red corner.” Another @OllyScattergood, accused the presenter of bias, stating, “Isabel is upset because Starmer is nowhere to be seen, and Nigel is there talking sense, that’s why she keeps interrupting him!”

The criticism continued with @SusanDorsett exclaiming, “LET NIGEL SPEAK ISOBEL,” while @BrendaM added, “She has constantly interrupted everyone that’s been on this morning. Shut her up!” Another viewer, @TonyMildinhall, offered advice, suggesting, “Isobel, take a lesson from Eammon and listen to what your interviewee says.”

During the interview, Farage addressed the attacks from Conservative MPs, particularly Jenrick’s call for him to retire. Farage firmly responded, “Jenrick says ‘We want Farage to retire,’ there’s not a cat’s chance in hell of that, let me assure you. They’re delusional.” He went on to criticize the Conservative Party’s leadership issues, pointing out that they’ve had multiple leaders since 2016 and have consistently broken manifesto promises.

Farage continued, “No one listened to what the Tories had to say for years, and we’re back in that same kind of situation. They’ve made themselves irrelevant, trust has gone.”

His parting message to the Conservative Party was clear: “Sorry guys, but Reform is here to stay. And interestingly, we’re not thinking about Conservative voters, we’re thinking about Labour voters.”

Despite Farage’s assertive defense of his party, the segment left viewers more focused on the interview’s pacing and the host’s interruptions, fueling further debate online.
