Suspecting his grandson Will Mitchell, who had been blackmailed, Stevie grilled him at the café. A panicked Will deflected suspicion, accusing Gina Knight, citing her addiction struggles. Stevie then confronted Gina, which angered her family, leading to her estranged brother Junior throwing Stevie out of the pub.
Later, Stevie pressed Will again to confess, but in a desperate moment, Will knocked Stevie over and fled, leaving him unconscious.
