Eamonn Holmes, 64, set to move in with girlfriend Katie Alexander, 42, just four months after surprising split from Ruth Langsford

Eamonn Holmes is reportedly set to take a major step in his relationship with 42-year-old girlfriend Katie Alexander, just four months after splitting from his wife, Ruth Langsford. Despite Ruth still wearing her wedding rings, it appears Eamonn is moving on, as the GB News host plans to move in with his new partner.

Over the weekend, Eamonn and Katie were spotted together on a luxury cruise, with photos showing Katie pushing Eamonn’s walking frame through the departure lounge while he followed behind in a wheelchair. Meanwhile, Ruth returned to Loose Women on ITV as pictures of her ex-husband and his new girlfriend at Barcelona port surfaced.

A source close to Katie told The Sun, “Katie’s assured him she’s in it for the long haul and they’re both settling down nicely. They’ve been spending so much time at his Kingston flat that they’re even looking to move in together permanently.”

The source also noted that Eamonn is eager to leave his current rented home, describing it as “too small” and “too expensive.” The couple is now looking for a larger property in the countryside, offering more privacy. “They’re really keen to move into a bigger place with lots of land. Katie will obviously be there to care for Eamonn as he grows older, and they think it’s best to do that somewhere away from prying eyes,” the insider added.

The Mirror revealed that Eamonn and Katie’s relationship is getting serious. A source said, “Katie is very excited about the prospect of a trip away with Eamonn. He works hard at GB News and with his rehab, so she is looking forward to them having some time on their own relaxing.”

Eamonn and Ruth, who announced their split in May, are expected to begin divorce proceedings later this year. In an earlier interview at the Television and Radio Industries Club (TRIC) Awards, Eamonn expressed his sadness about the separation, saying, “I’m not OK. This is not a good time at all. It’s too early to say, but I hope we can still be friends.”

With Eamonn now looking to the future with Katie, the pair seems set on building a life together while leaving their past relationships behind.
