Holmes, 64, was recently spotted on a luxury Mediterranean cruise with his new flame, Katie Alexander, 43, a relationship counsellor. The couple made headlines when photos surfaced showing them enjoying some PDA, including a cheeky snap of Eamonn grabbing Katie’s bum.
While their relationship may seem unexpected, sources close to the couple insist they are in it for the long haul. Speaking to Heat magazine, a source revealed, “Katie is telling everyone she is totally smitten and in love. They’ve known each other for nine years, so this isn’t a fly-by-night relationship – she’s in it for the long haul. They’re now looking at places to move into together, as they want a lot more space.
The couple’s relationship reportedly blossomed earlier this year, just weeks after Eamonn announced his split from Ruth Langsford, his wife of 26 years. Eamonn and Katie had been acquaintances for several years, having met online, but their connection deepened following his breakup. As rumors swirled that Katie was supporting Eamonn through his heartbreak, Katie’s ex-husband, George, shed light on the situation.
George, 53, explained that Katie initially met Eamonn while they were still married. “She was not swooning over him like he was George Clooney, but she liked being on social media and one day, she said she’d had a reply from him,” George shared. He also expressed sympathy for Ruth Langsford, saying, “Katie has a heart, so she will feel bad about Ruth.”

A source close to the couple revealed that Katie is already planning to move in with Eamonn and is considering a move to his hometown of Belfast. “Katie was there with his family a few weeks ago, and she reassured them she’s in it for keeps. She says Eamonn is her soulmate and true love, and she wants to love and care for him – especially as he’s in such a bad way with his legs and back, and can’t walk properly without assistance.”
