Demi Lovato Cancels Several Tour Dates Due to Health Issues

Demi Lovato’s fans probably thought the biggest surprise this tour season would be the setlist. Instead, they got something way more unexpected.

Demi Lovato has officially announced she’s canceling several upcoming tour shows, and the reason is serious. Her health.

The Grammy-nominated singer shared the update directly with fans on Instagram Story, kicking things off with excitement and a message aimed straight at her loyal fanbase. “My Lovatics — I am so excited to get back on stage this year and visit you in as many cities as I can.”

But that excitement quickly turned into disappointing news for a lot of ticket holders.

Lovato admitted that once tour prep started getting real, she realized she had pushed herself too far. “While starting to prepare for the tour, I realized that I have overextended what may be possible.”

Instead of risking her well-being and possibly delivering a weaker performance, Lovato explained she needs to slow things down and give herself more time to rest and rehearse. “To protect my health, and ensure I can give you my my all at each show, I need to build in more time to rest and rehearse and ultimately adjust to a schedule with some more time off that will allow me to handle the entire run of the tour.”

Then came the part fans really didn’t want to hear. Lovato confirmed the cities being removed from the tour schedule. “Charlotte, Nashville, Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Denver.”

She also apologized directly to the fans who were counting down the days until those concerts. “I am so sad to say that I will no longer be able to see you on this tour and I am so sorry to those who planned to be there. Orlando — we are moving your show to April 13th and will kick off there.”

If you bought tickets for any of the canceled stops, Lovato shared refund details. “If you purchased your tickets for one of these shows through Ticketmaster or AXS, refunds will be issued automatically. If you purchased from a third-party reseller (StubHub, SeatGeek, VividSeats) etc., please reach out to your point of purchase.”

For Orlando fans, there’s some good news. Their tickets still count. “In Orlando, all previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date. Additional tickets are available on demilovato.com/tour.”

Lovato ended the message on a hopeful note, letting fans know she’s still excited and grateful. “I am so excited for this tour and am looking forward to seeing so many of your faces singing with me! Thank you for your support always. I love you and I cannot wait to see you soon.”
