‘The Embarrassment Is Off the Charts’ David Harbour Reportedly Furious Over Lily Allen’s Sharp New Album
David Harbour is said to be deeply upset over the contents of Lily Allen’s upcoming revenge album, West End Girl, which reportedly takes aim at their marriage and the circumstances surrounding their split. The pair separated earlier in 2025, ending a four-year marriage that began in 2020, and Allen’s new music appears to dive straight into the fallout.
According to Radar Online, the 50-year-old Stranger Things actor is struggling with the album’s personal nature. The outlet reports that Allen, 40, accuses Harbour of cheating and includes explicit details in her lyrics that left him blindsided. An insider described Harbour’s reaction bluntly. “David knew the album would be catty, but he wasn’t prepared for anything this graphic or detailed,” the source said.

The insider added that the public exposure is weighing heavily on him. “The embarrassment is off the charts, and he’s having a very hard time with it. Truth be told, he’s saying he made a huge mistake marrying Lily, and now he bitterly regrets it.”

The album reportedly paints Harbour in an unflattering light, hinting at a lover who visited the couple’s New York City home. Allen refers to the residence as the “P**y Palace,” and the songs include references to a secret stash of sx toys, which has intensified the attention surrounding the breakup.
A source close to Harbour described the ordeal as emotionally draining, noting that he’s not someone who thrives on public confrontation. “David’s a very shy, private soul, so it’s not his style to hit back or drag this out in public. He’s riding it out and trying to drown out the noise, but it’s easier said than done.”

The embarrassment isn’t limited to the music itself. The insider said Harbour’s social circle has begun asking questions about the album’s implications. “Everyone’s grilling him about it, especially his Hollywood friends, who had no idea he was so dark and had all these bizarre fetishes,” the source added.

While Allen’s project has yet to be released in full, the advance buzz has already created a storm around the former couple. Revenge albums are nothing new in the entertainment world, but the level of detail reportedly included in West End Girl appears to have hit Harbour harder than he anticipated.
Harbour is reportedly choosing to stay silent publicly, hoping the scrutiny eases once the album’s initial shock fades. But with the project making headlines before it even drops, the personal fallout from the music may continue to follow both of them for some time.
