Tragic Loss: Community Mourns as baby Girl Dies in Car Park Accident
0The family of a one-year-old girl, tragically killed in a car park accident, has expressed profound grief over their loss. Ivy Mae Ross was struck by a Land Rover in the car park of a church on Eigie Road in Balmedie, Aberdeenshire, around 7.45 pm on Wednesday, via The Independent. Despite prompt attention from emergency services and her subsequent transfer to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Ivy Mae was declared deceased shortly after her arrival.
The driver of the Land Rover, a 40-year-old man, did not sustain any injuries in the incident.
Ivy Mae’s family released a heartfelt statement saying, “Our beautiful daughter Ivy Mae passed away following a tragic accident after our regular church gathering in Balmedie. We are devastated and ask that our privacy be respected at this challenging time. We value all the prayers and messages of sympathy and support we have received from the local community. The emergency services’ tireless work and support is greatly appreciated” ” according to BBC.
In the wake of the tragedy, Police Scotland is actively investigating to determine the full details of the incident. Sergeant Lesley Morrison conveyed the department’s deep condolences, stating, “Our thoughts are very much with Ivy’s family at what is an incredibly hard time for them. Our inquiries to establish the full circumstances of what happened are ongoing and I would ask anyone who can help who has not already spoken to officers to get in touch.”
