Coleen Nolan Reveals Life-Changing Diet Hack That Helped Her Ditch Painkillers Forever

Coleen Nolan, the beloved Loose Women star, has opened up about a simple dietary switch that has had a profound impact on her health and well-being. In an interview with Closer UK, the 59-year-old revealed how going vegetarian—and mostly vegan—transformed her life.

“I’m 100% vegetarian and probably 80% vegan, and health-wise it’s changed my life,” Coleen shared. She explained the dramatic benefits of her new diet, saying, “I was living on painkillers for joint pain, but after being veggie for two weeks, I never had to take another painkiller”, reported by Surrey Live.

The transformation in her health didn’t stop there. Coleen credits her active lifestyle for further improving her fitness and aiding her weight loss. “It’s three hours of mucking out horses, then dog walking, then sorting out the goats, ducks, and chickens,” she said. “I’m getting exercise and starting to lose weight doing something I love.”

Coleen also reflected on the strong bond she shares with her Loose Women co-stars, particularly Ruth Langsford. “Ruth and I will be friends forever outside of work, and the same goes for Brenda, Janet, and Christine,” she said, according to Lancs Live. The camaraderie extends beyond the show, with the panelists supporting each other during challenging times.

She revealed how the team rallied around Ruth Langsford during her separation from Eamonn Holmes, saying, “We’ve got a WhatsApp group for all of us, and when someone needs support, that group just lights up. We’re saying, ‘Here if you need me, or, Phone me.'”

Celebrating 25 years since Loose Women first aired, Coleen, who joined the show in its second year, has become a staple of the panel. Her warm and relatable personality continues to resonate with viewers.

Before her television career, Coleen rose to fame as part of The Nolans, a family band that dominated the charts with hits like I’m in the Mood for Dancing and Gotta Pull Myself Together. Reflecting on her journey, she remains grateful for the opportunities and relationships her career has brought.

For Coleen, her new diet and active lifestyle have not only transformed her health but have also enriched her life in unexpected ways. “It’s about finding what works for you and enjoying the journey,” she said.
