Coleen Nolan Hilariously Recalls Ex-Boyfriend’s Tattoo Mistake on Loose Women: ‘I thought we’d be together forever’

Coleen Nolan had both viewers and her Loose Women co-stars in stitches as she shared a funny and candid story from one of her past relationships, revealing how “we thought we’d be together forever”—until they weren’t.

During Monday’s episode, the conversation among panelists Christine Lampard, Dame Kelly Holmes, and Brenda Edwards turned to the topic of relationships and tattoos. The 59-year-old TV personality admitted she would never get a name tattooed on her body, but revealed that one of her exes had made that very commitment by tattooing her name on his arm while they were dating, as per reports Lancs Live.

Coleen, who is currently in a happy relationship with Michael Jones, didn’t specify which former boyfriend or husband had her name permanently inked, but she couldn’t help but laugh as she recounted the story. “We thought we’d be together forever, but we weren’t,” she said, adding with a chuckle, “And now his girlfriend has to look at my name on his arm.” While the fate of the tattoo remains unknown, Coleen’s amused recounting left the details of whether it still adorns her ex’s arm a mystery.

The discussion was initially sparked by news that Busted singer Matt Willis had tattooed his wife Emma Willis’ name across his entire calf—a decision that led to a lively debate among the panel. Coleen, known for her straightforwardness, confessed that she would never make such a choice herself, despite appreciating certain aspects of the tattoo. She acknowledged that Emma Willis looked good in the design but admitted she wasn’t fond of the dark outline.

“I’ve got a couple of tattoos, but I wouldn’t ever have a name of someone or a picture of someone,” Coleen stated, explaining, “I feel like it’s branding, especially with my track record.” With her trademark humor, she added, “Once they’re there, you can’t get rid of them, can you?”

Coleen also shared another memory of a previous love interest who had a heart tattooed with her name inside it. When he suggested she get a matching one, she flatly refused, saying, “Nope.” Reflecting on their initial hopes of being together forever, she noted wryly, “Then we weren’t, and his next girlfriend saw my name.”

Christine Lampard chimed in, suggesting that tattoos could be seen as a “real sign of commitment, a real sign of love.” But Coleen quickly countered, “No, take me for a weekend away or a meal,” clearly preferring more practical demonstrations of affection.
