Steps’ Claire Richards Explodes Over Outrageous Treatment at Posh London Store

Steps star Claire Richards, 47, has taken to social media to accuse luxury department store Harvey Nichols of ruining her Christmas after allegedly failing to deliver part of her £350 online order. The singer claimed gifts for her husband, Reece Hill, and 15-year-old daughter, Daisy, were missing, leaving her deeply frustrated.

On X (formerly Twitter), Claire shared her ordeal in a series of impassioned posts. She began:
“Any retail experts on here that can tell me if it’s lawful for @HarveyNichols to accept my order, take my payment, send the order in multiple packages with half the items missing, totaling over £350, but when I asked them to send the missing items as they were Xmas gifts…,” reported by The Sun.

The star revealed she was told the store had “proof of delivery” and CCTV footage of her package being packed but was denied access to the footage, citing data protection laws. She wrote:
“I asked to see the CCTV proof but apparently I’m not allowed as it breaches data protection @HarveyNichols…?”

Tagging the store again, she vented:
“It seems when it’s your word against mine there is no consideration for the customer. I’m shocked at the lack of customer service and outright disregard for the consumer”, according to the Mirror.

Claire compared the situation to other retailers, saying:
“I have no doubt that @JohnLewisRetail would have dealt with this matter in a much more sympathetic manner.”

The Masked Singer alum expressed disbelief at being labeled dishonest, adding:
“Surely if you have definitive proof it was packed I should be able to view that proof for myself. It only leads me to believe you are so incredibly greedy… you would be happy to call me a liar and make me feel like a thief.”

In a clarifying tweet, Claire emphasized the issue wasn’t about delivery but missing items from the box she received.

The singer’s fiery posts align with her recent comments about becoming more assertive with age. “I think it’s a menopausal thing, but I’ve become more honest and less tolerant,” she previously said.

Known for her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, Claire admitted she’s now far more confident and willing to stand up for herself. “I probably wouldn’t take the s**t that I was given. I just kind of shied away from the drama, but now… I probably would stick up for myself.”

Claire’s public criticism of Harvey Nichols has sparked debate online, with fans applauding her for taking a stand against poor customer service.
