Loose Women Star Christine Lampard Claims She Was Robbed in Broad Daylight on King’s Road

Loose Women panelist Christine Lampard, 45, recently shared a shocking account of being robbed while shopping on King’s Road in Chelsea, South West London, according to OK! Magazine. The incident occurred in broad daylight, with Lampard alleging that store security did little to intervene.

During Monday’s episode of Loose Women, the panel discussed the rise in crime across the UK and concerns about policing priorities. Lampard recounted how her phone was stolen directly from her handbag, with the store’s security guard offering an alarming response: “There’s at least 30 [phones stolen] a day.”

She expressed her frustration, saying, “I can understand I’m not going to have a police task force looking for my phone for me,” but highlighted the broader issue of security and public safety, reported by the Daily Mail.

The discussion, led by Christine, featured panelists Olivia Attwood, Judi Love, and Brenda Edwards, who weighed in with their own perspectives on crime and policing in the UK.

Attwood described London as rife with muggings and robberies, lamenting a “disconnect” between the public and police. She added, “London is becoming Gotham City,” calling for more officers on the streets to deter crime.

Judi Love shifted the conversation to online behavior, explaining how trolling can escalate to hate and even violence. Meanwhile, Brenda Edwards emphasized the need for police forces to better understand and address social media issues.

The conversation also touched on Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s recent comments about policing priorities. Speaking during the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, Sunak suggested that police forces should focus on addressing crimes that most impact their communities rather than expending resources on social media investigations. His remarks came after Essex Police investigated allegations of racial hatred tied to a columnist’s social media posts.

Sunak stated, “This is a matter for the police themselves… but I think that as a general principle, the police should concentrate on what matters most to their communities.”

Christine’s story underscored the concerns shared by many Londoners regarding the rise in thefts and the perceived inadequacy of responses from both security and law enforcement. The discussion highlighted the growing demand for a more visible and effective police presence to address both physical and online threats.
