Chloé and Angelina Jolie’s Atelier Jolie Unite for Sustainable Fashion Line

Celebrated French fashion label Chloé recently announced its partnership with Angelina Jolie’s sustainable brand, Atelier Jolie, which debuted earlier this year. The Chloé x Atelier Jolie line, shaped with the expertise of former Chloé creative lead Gabriela Hearst, features Angelina Jolie’s touch, blending Chloé’s trademark feminine designs with Jolie’s sophisticated minimalistic style.

Launching in January 2024, the collection is characterized by elegant eveningwear, combining tailored pieces, chic outerwear, and versatile layers that celebrate “every facet of femininity.” Sustainability is at the heart of this collection, utilizing materials like organic silk, organic crepe de chine, and certified wool, all presented in neutral hues to complement various skin tones.

Unique touches draw inspiration from Angelina Jolie’s own wardrobe. Standouts include an embroidered white cotton dress from Jolie’s childhood and a distinctive black velvet cape.

Promoting eco-friendliness, the collection boasts 80 percent of materials with reduced environmental impact. This commitment surpasses Chloé’s own record, beating its annual 60 percent lower-impact goal for 2023 and the 62 percent from the AW23 lineup.

Each item adheres to Chloé’s ethical sourcing standards, collaborating with entities like Akanjo, a World Fair Trade Organisation-endorsed social enterprise from Madagascar, and La Fabrique Nomade, a Paris initiative supporting refugee and migrant craftsmen. Over half of the line is produced through ethical trade, social enterprises, or social sourcing, evident in the scallop-mesh embroidery of a white cotton top, crafted in association with La Fabrique Nomade.

Other notable pieces include Chloé’s renowned lavallière shirt crafted from leftover hammered silk-satin, sleek black velvet pants, and a sharp three-piece black suit using surplus wool gabardine.

Angelina Jolie pledges to channel her profits from this partnership to provide apprenticeships and build infrastructure for refugees and marginalized groups within Atelier Jolie.

Fashion enthusiasts can explore the Chloé x Atelier Jolie collection at Chloé outlets and their official website come January 2024.”
